Abstract

In this article we investigated the causes and features of investment risks in the gold market, studied the components of investment risks in this market, and analyzed the main methods of insuring those investment risks. In addition, we presented the methods and financial investment instruments used in gold operations and provided the conceptual analyses of investment risk in the gold market.

 

Author Biographies

Nikolay Megits, Hamline University School of Business

NikolayMegits is a member of the Graduate Faculty of the Minnesota School of Business at Globe/University. He is also an adjunct professor at the Hamline University School of Business in St. Paul, MN. Dr. Megits is an Academic in the Ukrainian Academy of Economic Sciences. He is an expert in global economics, strategic management, FDI in emerging markets, and in entrepreneurship. He possesses a distinguished record of academic achievement in lecturing and scholarly research. His expertise covers over 25 years of international business experience including strategic management, sales, and import/export practices.

 

Serhij Reverchuk, Lviv Ivan Franko National University

Serhij Reverchuk is the Professor and Chair of the Banking and Insurance Department at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Ukraine. He is the author of 12 books and 185 articles. Dr. Reverchuk is an Academic of the Ukrainian Academy of Economic Sciences. Professor Reverchuk research interest include European corporate restructuring, the regulation of banks and financial institutions, credit risk and the valuation of corporate debt, and asset pricing with a focus on the effects of liquidity risk.

Lyudmyla Chyzh, Lviv Ivan Franko National University

Lyudmyla Chyzh holds a PhD in Economics. She is assistant professor in the department of Banking and Insurance Business at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Ukraine. Dr. Shyzh is currently working on research of state regulation of the insurance system, development of the bank gold metal market. She is investigating investment projects, strategic management, the history of money and the features of credit, and bank operations. Lyudmyla has been participated and presented in over fifty academic conferences.
