We would like to update you on the Journal of Eastern European and Central Asian Research (JEECAR) indexing and abstracting status.
The JEECAR is a relatively new open-source academic publication listed with the US Library of Congress. The Journal is affiliated with Webster University, St. Louis, MO. It is operated by highly respected international academicians. JEECAR’s Editorial Board http://ieeca.org/editorial-team is represented by a Sr. Vice President and Provost(Rector), Faculty Deans, Department Chairs and Directors who take this publication very seriously and with pride. Additional information about the journal can be obtained here: http://ieeca.org/journal/index.php/JEECAR/about
Currently, there are pending applications to have our JEECAR articles listed in the most respected U.S. and international academic databases – CABELL’S, EBSCO, SCOPUS, ULRICH’S and ISI (Thompson Reuters). Of course, this will take time because the review and acceptance procedures are rather involved. We expect final approvals by fall 2014.
Each of our published articles has an assigned DOI (Digital Object Identifier) number. Additionally, JEECAR is registered with The OAIster® database, WorldCat Digital Collection Gateway and CrossRef, a scholarly publisher with a citation-linking network of over 65 million journal articles. To guarantee the security and preservation of our published manuscripts, we just entered into an agreement with LOCKSS digital network system.
After each issue is published and the articles are available to readers, the digital citation systems of the previously listed databases will generate an impact factor. This impact factor will increase with the number of times the JEECAR journal articles are cited in other scholarly works.
For these reasons, it is both critical and highly appreciated that JEECAR authors and our editorial team are working very hard on producing highly relevant articles that enrich the discourse on the economic development of Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The consequence is that the JEECAR journal will become a highly valued publication, while building its impact factor.
